So. SO.

It was better than Twilight, I'll give it that. I was expecting total crap, so getting something better than crap was worth my money. Anyways, I think they did a pretty good job of sticking to the book--better than the first movie. Also, the first movie had the super cheesy effects and the horribly dramatic dialogue and action. Ugh. This movie still had the cliche-ish lines, but they did WAY better with the animation and with the lowering the dramaticalness.

Before I give you my analysis, I would like to point out one thing. TAYLOR LAUTNER IS A FRIKIN GOD. Every time he came on screen, i was hyperventilating...and when he cut his hair...OMFG I wanted to kill myself, he was so gorgeous. But moving on.

What I Liked
1. I liked how they maintained the same humor that was used in Twilight. Like, it's not outright comedy, but it's still knee-slapper worthy. Some of my fave funny moments
a. "Gotta have your proteins!" - Mike Newton
b. When the class is watching Romeo and Juliet, and Eric is crying
c. "I'm a year older than you"
"Well, technically, I'm a hundred and nine"
"You're right. That's gross. You're a pedophile"
d. "Don't get me upset. It could get ugly" - Jacob
e. When Jake catches the pizza
f. "Happy Birth....nevermind" - Jasper
g. "Nice! Dating an older woman" - Emmett
h. It's my job to protect you from everything. Except from my sister" - Edward
i. When Jake comes to the parking lot on Bella's birthday and hugs her when Edward was there.
j. "I;m gonna shoot your frikin head off. No I'm gonna shoot your frikin head off." - Facepunch
k. "What a marshmellow" - Jake
l. "It would be nice to not want to kill you," - Jasper
m. Basically everytime Quil talks to Bella
n. "Age is just a number, baby. So that makes you 40" - Jake
2. So I hate Robert Pattinson. But I actually think the scene where he leaves Bella was very well portrayed. The emotions and words were delivered very well. I think I may have even teared up a little...ahem.
3. Taylor Lautner's acting was purely amazing. He has DEFINITELY improved since the first movie.
a. When Bella comes over to his house for the first time, he is just SO Jacob. He really does have that aura of sunniness that i associate with Jacob.
b. After Jacob fights Paul, and he comes over to Emily's place...the way he looks at Bella, like he feels insecure knowing that she knows, afraid of what she'll think, but ready to face her at the same time....he got all three on his face at the same time. AMAZING.
c. The two parts where they almost kiss...When i read the books, i'm a HUNDRED PERCENT team Edward. But just watching his amazing hotness, and their better chemistry...I feel so team Jacob watching the movies. Plus he looks so hurt at her rejection, and so positive when she first lets him down that you can't help but totally be on his side.
d. "I'm begging you. For me?" ..priceless. I wanted to kill myself then too just to take that sad expression off his face.
4. The plot flowed together much better than the book did, and better than the first movie did. I applaud them for that.
5. The "Dear Alice" things. It sums up her pain perfectly and shows how she can't bear to say Edward's name.

What I didn't Like
1. Robert Pattinson shirtless. My eyes still burn.
2. Alice's vision of Bella becoming a vampire. WTF? I mean, Yeah, it cracked me up. But still...wrong time.
3. Kristen's Stewart's acting. Again.
4. Edward looked hammered through the whole movie. Also, it seemes like he's crying through half of it. VAMPIRES. CAN'T. FRIKIN. CRY
5. The slowness of the dialogue. Really?
6. And last of all....the ending. So here's how it went in the book:
a. The Cullens vote
b. Edward proposes to Bella
c. Jacob confronts Edward and Bella (when he rats her out with the bikes)
And here's how it was in the movie:
a. The Cullens vote
b. Jacob has the confrontation. I HATED this scene:
1. They aren't supposed to touch each other. EDWARD AND JACOB CAN'T FIGHT!
2. In the books, Bella always lets jacob down gently. She says she still loves him, but she cant be forced to choose. She tries to find a middle
ground, but just ends up hurting all three of them even more. But she never says anything to completely put down Jacob, because she cares
for his happiness too much. However, these are her exact lines in the movie:
"Don't make me choose, Jake. Because it'll be him. It's always been him".
Ouch, bitch much? And she has this totally cold expression on her face as she says it. Also, Edward comes up right after and is like, "Let's go
Bella". And I'm like, uummmmmm....way to twist the knife in deeper. But the worst part of all. Taylor's face. His expression when she said it.
I was going to hunt down that script writer. That was the most amazing expression of hurt, and anguish, and pain, and defiance, and fury,
i have EVER seen. But it was just soooo cruel...
c. And then the movie ends. But it ended SO wrong:
"I Have one condition then."
"What is it?"
"Marry me."
"What?"

....and then the screen goes black. like, WTF? xD i was gasping it was so unexpected. I mean, i knew he proposes to her in the book, but it was just a tinier part, and Stephenie Meyer made a joke of it. This was really unexpected though. It took me by surprise. I guess it's a good business technique though.

So i thought it was a'right. tay was amazing. The rest was better than expectations. sorry for the rant ^^ <33333
